The article about "gridification" in music on the front page seems apropos: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=50150163

Stop gatekeeping people’s enjoyment of audiobooks.
alternatively, consider that humans have a breathing, speaking/listening, and memory timing link which has been evolving for 100Ks of years
