It's always a very short walk from "serious concern about religious prophesy" to "why is anyone taking this person seriously." The answer is, of course, huge piles of money.
Why wouldn't the Antichrist be spreading warnings about someone/thing else being the Antichrist? If he doesn't misdirect people, they could suspect him. Heck, he could even charge $100/head to peddle his lies.
> Thiel has a diverse library: The lectures were heavier on political theory but also wove in pop culture with historical figures from Francis Bacon, to Ozymandias of the “Watchmen” comic book series, and the Japanese manga series “One Piece,” all of whom he believes are or include figures who could be the Antichrist. Plus, he invokes political philosopher and member of the Nazi Party Carl Schmitt, whose ideas about the Katechon he counts as an influence and slightly critiques.
There's gotta be people in the Vatican reading this dreck while they punch holes into drywall out of anger. I'm pretty sure Thiel is closer to destroying eschatology than reviving it.
This is good friend of a certain 'disgraced financier'[0] Peter Thiel right? Other than knowing what the enemy is up to why should anyone care what this freak thinks?
