From this we can conclude that Google and Apple are quite successful at keeping users of their OS on their browsers (Chrome and Safari), but Microsoft is not.
Despite the issues Mozilla mentions, it is mainly on Windows that alt browsers succeed.
The problem here perhaps is that if Microsoft makes it even easier for third-party browsers to succeed on Windows, the main beneficiary will be Google rather than Mozilla.

Though realistically Google needs to be next in line. Microsoft is quite capable of destroying their desktop monopoly on their own
