So the article argues that misdirection of the game is the reason budgets balloon and that AI won't help.
I disagree. I think AI does help because it allows you to prototype far quicker so you'd know what is fun or not.
But then again, knowing what is fun does not automatically imply that one can build what is fun. Rapid prototyping at the expense of slow development often leads to superficiality in a direction of interesting which is never actually reached...
I don't see how being faster at doing something is worse.
