Making things more expensive for Americans in attempt to bring production back to the US, and for an infrastructure that will take multiple years to reestablish, is not going to help very much reduce inflation into the 2026/Later election cycles. And once again this affects the Billionaire class none at all, and very little likewise for the top 10%, and so the bottom 90% will suffer the higher costs because re-shoring production after it's gone takes more time than one term in office! But Billionaire Trump is not struggling to make ends meet, as that Ballroom and Gaudy Arch get the Lion's share of attention all while the Trump administration attacks legitimate research grants in the US.
