It's interesting because we are still in the 'delayed reaction' phase of consumer hardware prices. They are still somewhat close to what they were before the spike in prices earlier this year.
What happens to the school system when a laptop costs 3x what it did? Obviously some school districts will foot the costs, but I could see other districts unable to pay the extra costs. Maybe switching to a 'bring your own' kind of scheme.
