I would hardly call what the US does as a fix considering it still has pretty poor crime rates compared to it's peers.
The police and courts rely on high crime rates and court costs to fund themselves and get bonuses. Actually lowering crime would mean downsizing and lower wages. Thats why cops in places that lowered the penalties for low level theft and drug crimes refuse to enforce any of those laws at all in protest, their easy money source shrinks and is a budget cut to their extortion racket.
The Youtuber AwakeWithJP has constantly shifted his apparent political beliefs over time in a cynical attempt to find new audiences. He started off as a crunchy granola hippy, then an "anti-woke" activist before going full Trumper during COVID. Now he's moving away from Trumpism and becoming a privacy/civil liberties activist persona.
If the land of the free can't escape the all-seeing eye of Flock, us Europe folks are doomed.
You say that like the US isn't already holding 25% of the worlds prison population with only 4.5% the overall population.
