Poor article. So some sales and product people quickly vibe coded some idea and need assistance fixing it.
It has nothing to do with AI layoffs. If anything it looks like vibe coding gave some power to the sales and product people to prototype quickly.
This article is ripe to be shared by AI naysayers verbatim as a quick gotcha.
I'm reminded of something Fred Brooks wrote in The Mythical Man-Month. “Plan to throw one away; you will, anyhow.”
What we wanted was AI that cleared our technical debt and did our maintenance so we could focus on greenfield projects.
What we got was AI producing slop on greenfield projects which we have to debug and maintain.
