My workplace has gone from "Look at this helpful tool that can search the wiki or slack for you" (it sucked) to "Look this other tool can comment on PRs" to "Look here are agents that will open PRs for you..." to "This tool can do RCAs with just a splunk token"
Every step of the way they want us to start integrating our workflows to make them more AI accessible.
Practice makes perfect. Assuming AI adoption initiatives are well intentioned, it makes sense to reward people for being pioneers in their organizations. We’ve always done this. The difference this time around, is that we’re doing it with the support id those outside of engineering as well. Make the best of it.
